The College requires all Staff, Volunteers, Governors, Associates and Contractors (who have unlimited access to the site) to be checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service. HR Services will arrange for the check to be undertaken and will maintain the record of the check. There is also a requirement that all of these groups undertake the on-line Level 1 Safeguarding Training before starting with the college and every 3 years thereafter. These groups will also be required to attend an annual update session run by members of the Safeguarding Team as well as informing themselves of key changes to the Government document 'Keeping Children and Young People Safe in Education' which is amended periodically.
The College operates it's recruitment and selection process in line with 'Safer Recruitment in Education Practices'.
The college requires that all college Staff, Volunteers, Governors, Associates and Contractors (who have unlimited access to the site) undertake training in the prevention of terrorism and radicalisation before they start at the College. This training will be carried out via an e-learning module. You will therefore need access to a computer. This training will be organised as part of your induction.
The college believes that investing in our staff will ensure that they remain happy and healthy within the workplace. HR Services has created and runs a wide ranging programme of activities with this aim in mind.
As a member of staff in Education you will have access to support from this amazing charity which has supported Teacher and Education staff wellbeing for 146 years!
